            <summary type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Current Status: Systems Online / Monitoring</p>
<p>The Incident: Earlier today, the global internet experienced a major infrastructure failure within the GTT Communications (AS3257) network. GTT is one of the five primary &quot;backbones&quot; of the internet</p>
<p>This was an internet-level event that caused a massive ripple effect across thousands of major brands, ISPs, and cloud services worldwide. It was not a code failure, a bug, or a localized issue within our platform. Instead, the global &quot;pipes&quot; that carry data across the internet became unstable, impacting everything from carrier APIs to global banking and communication tools.</p>
<p>Why Failover to EU Infrastructure was Ineffective: We monitored our European data centres as a potential failover; however, because GTT is a global transit provider, the routing paths to Europe were experiencing the same systemic failure. In a backbone event of this scale, switching regions does not bypass the issue because the &quot;highways&quot; to reach those regions are the very things that are broken.</p>

<p>Current Status &amp; Operations:</p>
<p>Systems are Fully Online: Global routing has stabilized, and traffic is flowing normally.
Warehouse Operations: You may resume all label printing and API calls. Any shipments that timed out during the outage can now be safely re-processed.
Data Integrity: No shipment data or account information was compromised; the issue was strictly one of global network reachability.
We are continuing to monitor the situation to ensure stability as global traffic resumes. If you are still seeing intermittent errors, please restart your local network to clear any stale routing paths.</p>

<p>Dear Customers,</p>
<p>At 4:00am this morning we received a notification from Amazon that our developer account has been suspended for new customer registrations/authorisations only. To be absolutely clear: this does NOT affect any of our existing customers or accounts already connected. Your services remain fully operational.</p>
<p>Normally, Amazon (through PwC) notifies us when an audit is due, and we have complied with that process every year without issue. This time, however, we did not receive the usual notification that the audit was beginning. Instead, the very first communication we received was today’s suspension notice for new registrations.</p>
<p>We acted immediately, responding to Amazon within 15 minutes of receiving the message. We were also on a call with our Amazon account management team in Munich first thing this morning. From there, the matter has been escalated to Amazon’s teams in the USA, who are now dealing with it directly. Given the time zone difference, we expect further progress and resolution later today.</p>
<p>We will keep you updated as soon as there are any developments. In the meantime, please rest assured: your existing connections and services are unaffected, and we are working closely with Amazon to ensure this is resolved quickly.</p>
<p>Although this may seem concerning, we are confident that once Amazon has completed its internal checks, this will prove to be a simple administrative error.</p>

We have identified the cause of today’s service interruptions. A third-party system was sending an abnormally high volume of genuine requests to our platform, likely due to a process stuck in a loop.</p>
<p>Our platform has robust application-level rate limiting in place, which is highly effective in managing normal and even heavy traffic. In this case, the requests were valid and reached the application layer, meaning they still consumed server resources before rate limits could apply. The sheer scale of the traffic meant this impacted performance for some customers.</p>
<p>We have now implemented additional, earlier-stage blocking measures to intercept this type of abnormal load before it reaches our application servers, and we have notified the third party so they can resolve the issue on their side.</p>
<p>We are considering the incident resolved and systems remain stable. We will continue to monitor closely over the weekend, and a full incident report will be published on Monday outlining today’s actions and further mitigation steps being put in place.</p>

Dear customers,</p>
<p>Our engineering team has been investigating an issue that caused two distinct periods of service interruption today. The first lasted 13 minutes, and the second lasted about 20 minutes.</p>
<p>During these times, the system was not completely offline, but many customers experienced slow or degraded performance.</p>
<p>The cause was an exceptionally high volume of incoming requests, far above normal levels. We are investigating whether this was suspicious activity, such as a potential DDoS attack, or whether it was genuine traffic caused by a customer system or script stuck in a loop. While we have rate limits and protections in place, the sheer scale of these requests was extraordinary.</p>
<p>This was a performance issue caused by inbound request volume, there is no risk to customer data.</p>
<p>Our engineers and data centre partners acted immediately and brought the situation under control. We will continue monitoring closely this evening and throughout the weekend.</p>
<p>A full incident report will be published on Monday. We apologise for any inconvenience caused, and customers can check our status page for the latest updates.</p>

<p>​When we are searching for orders from Shopify, we are using the &quot;fulfilment status: unfulfilled&quot; filter as per their API documentation, this should return all orders that have fulfilment status: null or partial.</p>
<p>However, this currently does not seem to happen and is causing some of the orders to be missed.</p>
<p>In these orders, the fulfilment statuses are coming to us as null but Shopify still does not return them to us.</p>
<p>​We are working on a workaround as a priority and we will revert back to you with an update as soon as possible.</p>

We are seeing some delays to some Tracking events in a small number of destinations. As we continue to work with our partners to resolve this, if you cannot see tracking information for your items then it is likely to be available on the overseas’ Posts own tracking websites. <p>&quot;International Cyber Incident: Updated Business Customer Statement – Monday 30 January</p>
<p>We continue to make progress in exporting an increasing number of items to a growing number of international destinations. We are using alternative solutions and systems, which not affected by the recent cyber incident.</p>
<p>Our focus has been on despatching the export parcels and letters which were in our network before the cyber incident. We have also been successfully despatching standard export letters since reinstating those services for customers on 18 January and International Tracked &amp; Signed and International Signed letters and parcels since 26 January.</p>
<p>As a result of this progress and the further growing capability of our alternative export solutions, we will today (Monday January 30) resume our International Tracked services to all destinations for business customers and consumers buying postage through our online shipping systems.</p>
<p>This includes parcel, large letter and letter formats of these services. Online shipping systems will be enabled to allow customers to select these services, print labels and send items from 1200 today for business customers.</p>
<p>We continue to ask customers not to submit any untracked export parcels into our network for the time being. We plan to provide further updates on these services as soon as possible. <p>As a result of this progress and the growing capability of our alternative export solutions, we can now announce that from today (Thursday 26 January) we are resuming the following two services:</p>
<p>International Tracked &amp; Signed
International Signed</p>
<p>These services are resuming, to all destinations and with immediate effect, for business account customers and customers buying postage online. This includes parcel, large letter and letter formats of these services. Online shipping solutions will be enabled to allow customers to select these services, print labels and send items from today (Thursday 26 January).</p>
<p>Delivery of International Tracked &amp; Signed and International Signed items posted from Thursday 26 January may take slightly longer than usual and customers may notice different tracking information as items leave the UK.<br />

They are not available for customers based in Great Britain where export restrictions related to the cyber incident on parcels being sent to Ireland continue to apply.</p>
